Mobiler Kran auf Husab umgestürzt

Ein mobiler Kran ist am Sonntag bei der Husab-Uranmine des Unternehmens Swakop Uranium umgestürzt und hat einen danebenstehenden Kran beschädigt (Foto). Das berichtete das Nachrichtenportal Erongo unter Berufung auf Husab-Sprecherin Frieda Abraham. Ihr zufolge wurde niemand verletzt. „Unsere Ermittlungen, um die Ursache zu etablieren, dauern an“, erklärte sie lediglich. Swakop Uranium hat kürzlich Schlagzeile gemacht, nachdem Arbeiter gegen einen neuartigen Bonus demonstriert hatten. Grund: Laut der zuständigen Gewerkschaft (MUN) wurde der übliche Bonus mit einer „Sicherheits- und Produktionsinitiative“ ersetzt – lediglich 30 Prozent der Belegschaft würden davon profitieren.
