Zverev in Melbourne zum zweiten Mal im Halbfinale

Melbourne (dpa) - Alexander Zverev hat bei den Australian Open nach einer beeindruckenden Leistung das Halbfinale erreicht. Der Tennis-Olympiasieger gewann gestern in Melbourne gegen Wimbledon-Champion Carlos Alcaraz mit 6:1, 6:3, 6:7 (2:7), 6:4 und zeigte dabei eine fast fehlerlose Vorstellung. In der Rod Laver Arena verwandelte Zverev gegen den spanischen Weltranglisten-Zweiten nach 3:06 Stunden seinen ersten Matchball. Er nahm damit auch Revanche für die klare Niederlage im Viertelfinale der US Open im vergangenen Jahr. Im Halbfinale am Freitag bekommt es Zverev mit seinem Erzrivalen Daniil Medwedew zu tun.
