Volley action keeps getting better

The UNAM gymnasium hall was once again packed with good attendance and exciting matches in the Central Volleyball Association (CVA) Leagues on Saturday.
In the men’s division, City of Windhoek’s player and coach Ziezo Nkando said he enjoyed their first match against Afrocat D as his side defeated the youthful side 3-1.
“It was good. I actually expected them to do better.”
Nkando admitted that his team is not looking to win the league as it is too late now. However, they are looking to attract new talent with a view to a challenge next year.
“City of Windhoek is treating us well. We have a good venue too, so next year we hope to win the league. Volleyball in Namibia is picking up, but I urge more people to come and watch the matches. Some of the matches are really action-packed.”
In their second match CoW was defeated 3-1 by UNAM Kings.
Other matches in the men’s division saw Kudus winning 3-0 against Afrocat D, while Afrocat C beat Kudus 3-0.
In the women’s division, Afrocat won 3-0 against NUST.
