Windhoek/Otjiwarongo (fis) – Bei einem schweren Verkehrsunfall auf der B1-Fernstraße zwischen Otavi und Otjiwarongo sind heute Nacht vier Menschen ums Leben gekommen. Wie die Nachrichtenagentur Nampa mitteilte, seien kurz nach 1 Uhr rund 60 Kilometer nördlich von Otjiwarongo ein Pkw und ein Lastwagen frontal zusammengestoßen. Alle vier Insassen des Pkws seien an der Unfallstelle gestorben, der Lkw-Fahrer habe leichte Verletzungen davongetragen. Vermutlich ist der Unfall infolge eines Überholvorganges passiert, mutmaßt die Polizei gegenüber Nampa. Der Lkw mit Hänger, der Rinder geladen hatte, ist dabei auf die Seite gestürzt.
