Eine zweite Fracht Uranoxid (yellow cake) aus der Midi-Anlage der Trekkopje-Uranmine von Areva ist vergangene Woche nach Frankreich verschifft worden. Somit seien bei der Mine, die zum Jahreswechsel eingemottet wurde (AZ berichtete), insgesamt 435 Tonnen Uranoxid produziert worden, teilte Areva jetzt schriftlich mit. Das Uran werde zur Anlage „COMURHEX Malvesi“ in Frankreich gebracht, wo es weiter verarbeitet werde. „Unser Team auf der Mine versucht weiterhin, die Anlage zu optimieren, so dass der Bergbau wieder in Betrieb genommen werden kann, sobald sich der internationale Uranpreis erholt hat“, heißt es.
