Die FNB Namibia unterstützt gemeinsam mit vielen anderen das Dürrehilfsprojekt der „Namibia Farmers Association“. Die Mittel der FNB wurden für den Kauf von Luzerne verwendet, die wiederum von der namibischen Brauerei (NBL) kostenlos an kommerzielle Farmer in den vom Feuer verwüsteten Gebieten von Aranos sowie an kommunale Farmer in den von der Dürre betroffenen Gebieten von Khorixas und Damaraland geliefert wurde. Weitere 25 kommunale Farmer in der Gegend von Karasburg wurden ebenfalls mit Luzerneballen unterstützt. Die „Leonardville Farmers Association“ leistete weitere Hilfe, indem sie 8 000 Grasballen für die Namibia-Dürrehilfe spendete. Wieder einmal organisierte NBL den Transport, während Pick n Pay und Hartlief Lunchpakete spendeten, die an die Leute verteilt wurden, die das Gras in der Gegend von Leonardville verluden. • Foto: FNB
