Windhoek (cev) – Angesichts der Ongwediva-Handelsmesse und dem Kulturfestival Olufuku im Norden Namibias sowie der Feier zum morgigen Heldengedenktag ruft der Unfallfonds MVA alle Verkehrsteilnehmer auf, vorsichtig zu fahren. „Diese Veranstaltungen führen zu einem erhöhten Verkehrsaufkommen auf unseren Straßen“, erinnerte Sidney Booi, Abteilungsleiter für Unfallprävention beim Motor Vehicle Accident Fund schriftlich.

Das Olufuko-Festival hat am gestrigen Mittwoch in Outapi begonnen, derweil morgen die Tore der jährlichen Handelsmesse in Ongwediva eröffnet werden. Morgen finden ebenso in der Hafenstadt Walvis Bay die offiziellen Feierlichkeiten zum Heldengedenktag statt, die jedes Jahr in einem anderen Ort ausgetragen werden.
