Auf dem Ausstellungsgelände in Windhoek laufen die Vorbereitungen auf die Reisemesse „Namibia Tourism Expo 2016“ auf Hochtouren, die nächste Woche hier stattfindet. Der Unity Square, der im Erdgeschoss der Präsidenten-Halle entsteht (Bild), wird dabei einen Höhepunkt darstellen und bietet eine Plattform für mehrere Aussteller: Air Namibia, Ministerium für Umwelt und Tourismus, NTB, NWR, Stadtverwaltung Windhoek und TransNamib. Indes gibt es für Senioren, die freien Eintritt haben, eine besondere Aktion: Old Mutual und Newsprint Namibia verschenken Kaffee und Kuchen (Cupcakes). Ältere Besucher erhalten an den Eingängen einen Gutschein und können sich dann Kaffee und Kuchen am Stand 33 unmittelbar neben dem Newsprint Community-Zelt abholen. - Die Tourism Expo findet vom 18. bis 21. Mai statt; im Rahmen dieser Messe wird auch der Sieger des Wettbewerbs „Namibias Stadt des Jahres 2016“ aus den vier Finalisten Ongwediva, Otjiwarongo, Swakopmund und Lüderitzbucht bestimmt (mehr dazu morgen in der AZ).
