Tankwagen geht in Flammen auf - Niemand verletzt

Ein Tankwagen ist am Freitagabend zwischen Swakopmund und Arandis auf der Fernstraße B2 in Flammen aufgegangen. „Scheinbar schlug ein Hinterreifen des Anhängers während der Fahrt Feuer“, teilte die West Coast Safety Initiative (WCSI) mit. Der Fahrer des Sattelschleppers habe lobenswert schnell reagiert und habe, obwohl der Tankwagen zu dem Zeitpunkt leer gewesen sei, sämtliche Ventile oben am Tanker geöffnet, um dadurch das Risiko einer Explosion zu minimieren. „Es wurde niemand verletzt“, heißt es.
