SC Freiburg erreicht erneut das Halbfinale

Windhoek/Freiburg (re) - Die namibische Profifußballerin Sandra Starke hat mit ihrem dritten Pflichtspieltor der laufenden Saison dazu beigetragen, dass der SC Freiburg zum bereits fünften Mal nacheinander im Halbfinale des DFB-Pokals steht. Am Mittwoch setzte sich der Sport-Club im heimischen Möslestadion dank einer guten Leistung verdient mit 2:0 (1:0) gegen den Bundesliga-Rivalen 1. FFC Frankfurt durch. Nationalspielerin Hasret Kayikci brachte die Breisgauerinnen bereits in der sechsten Minute auf die Siegerstraße, ehe die spät eingewechselte Starke gegen Ende der Nachspielzeit mit ihrem Joker-Tor für klare Verhältnisse sorgte.

Die Halbfinalpartien werden kommenden Montag ausgelost und sind für den 16. April angesetzt. Neben Freiburg sind noch der Titelverteidiger VfL Wolfsburg, der Vorjahresfinalist SC Sand und der Bundesliga-Elfte Bayer Leverkusen im Rennen.
