Squash-Liga an der Küste startet

Windhoek - Der Squash-Club Buccaneers richtet in diesem Jahr die Squash-Liga an der Küste aus. Noch bis Freitag, den 28. Februar, können sich alle Mitglieder der Squash-Vereine an der Küste gegen eine Teilnahmegebühr von 60 N$ pro Person für den Wettbewerb anmelden. Los geht es am 2. Februar, gespielt wird immer mittwochs beim Swakopmunder FC oder in Walvis Bay auf der Buccaneers-Anlage oder den Wasra Courts. Am 25. März steigt das Saisonfinale bei den Buccaneers. Die Teilnehmer können ihrer Spielstärke entsprechend zwischen vier Leistungsgruppen wählen (A-D). In jeder Kategorie gehen maximal zehn Akteure an den Start, die im Modus jeder gegen jeden aufeinandertreffen. Ausgezeichnet werden die erfolgreichsten Teams. Jeder Spieler erhält pro Sieg einen Punkt und am Ende werden die Zähler der einzelnen Vertreter eines Clubs addiert, um so die Durchschnittspunktzahl der Vereine zu ermitteln. Tritt ein Spieler zu einem Duell unentschuldigt nicht an, kassiert er einen Minuspunkt.
