Windhoek (omu) – Nachdem die dritte Liga in der Hardap-Region in der letzten Woche in die Saison gestartet war, gibt es bereits jetzt den ersten Ausfall zu verzeichnen. Wie bekannt wurde, hat sich der Spiders Football Club aus dem Spielbetrieb zurückgezogen. Finanzielle Schwierigkeiten sind der Grund für den Rückzug. Dabei macht der Klub die namibische Premier League (NPL) für die Misere mitverantwortlich. Die Querelen um das Fußball-Oberhaus würden es schwierig machen, einen Sponsor für das Team zu finden. Die NPL hätte eigentlich schon letztes Wochenende mit Verspätung in die Saison starten sollen, doch einige Klubs hatten sich entschlossen, nicht mehr am Spielbetrieb der Liga teilzunehmen (AZ berichtete).
