Windhoek (jon) - Der Namibische Rugby-Verband (NRU) hat die für November angekündigten Spiele gegen die uruguayische Nationalmannschaft terminiert. Das gab der NRU am Freitag in einer Pressemeldung bekannt. Demnach finden die Auseinandersetzungen am 18. und 25. November im Windhoeker Hage-Geingob-Stadion statt. Wie der Verband zudem mitteilte, sollen die beiden Partien zum einen als Vorbereitung für die namibische Rugby-Nationalmannschaft für die Weltmeisterschaft 2018 in Japan dienen, zum anderen sollen sie jedoch auch dazu beitragen, dass die Namibier in der internationalen Weltrangliste weiter aufsteigen. Derzeit belegen sie den 21. Platz, langfristig soll jedoch eine Platzierung in der Top-Ten erreicht werden. Die namibische Brauerei tritt als Sponsor auf.
