Windhoek/Frankfurt (ws) • Die internationale Marketingabteilung des namibischen Tourismusrates (NTB) ist seit Jahresbeginn unter neuer Führung. Maureen Posthuma, die von 2002 bis Ende 2016 den europäischen Reisemarkt und in Frankfurt das NTB-Büro geleitet hat, wurde von NTB-Geschäftsführer Digu //Naobeb in die Windhoeker Zentrale berufen. Dort wird sie nun als erfahrene strategische Marketingexpertin und Branchenkennerin wirken. Ihren Posten in Frankfurt hat Matthias Lemcke übernommen. Lemcke ist seit 2004 Werbeleiter für Europa und wird diese Position auch weiterhin besetzen.

Der namibische Gastgewerbeverband (HAN) begrüßte die Entscheidung, Posthuma zur internationalen Marketingleiterin zu ernennen. „Wir sind davon überzeugt, dass Maureen Posthuma ihre Marketingexpertise, ihre fundierte Kenntnis des namibischen Tourismusmarktes, ihr reicher Erfahrungsschatz sowie ihre vielzähligen Kontakte perfekt für das weitreichende Destinationsmarketing des namibischen Tourismusrates einsetzen kann“, erklärt HAN-Vorsitzender Rudie Putter. Darüber hinaus sei Posthumas internationale Erfahrung und ihre Bekanntheit im Tourismussektor sowie ihr hervorragender Ruf als dynamische, engagierte und passionierte Werberin für Namibia sie zur idealen Besetzung für die Leitungsposition mache.
