Windhoek (omu) - In der namibischen Rugby Premier League ist es am Samstag zum Eklat gekommen. Bei Spielstand von 19:9 zwischen der Mannschaft der namibischen Universität (UNAM) und dem Meister der Vorsaison United, führte ein hartes Tackling von United Spieler Gerhard Thirion an Unams Cameron Langenhoven zur Eskalation. Einige Spieler der Teams gerieten aneinander und Schiedsrichter Stephan Kellerman verwies nach Rücksprache mit seinen Linienrichtern Uniteds Thirion und Thomas Kali sowie Unams Bigman Kaura und Simon Kanime des Feldes. Auf dem Weg in die Kabine gerieten die Kontrahenten erneut aneinander, was in eine Schlägerei endete. Das veranlasste den Obmann die Partie abzubrechen.
