Windhoek - Der namibische Außenminister Hidipo Hamutenya hat sich beim 57. Kongress der UN über die eskalierende Gewalt zwischen Israelis und Palästinenser in Nahost besorgt ausgesprochen.

Hamutenya sagte am Donnerstag, dass die Ursache dieses Krieges, welches in der fortdauernden Besetzung palästinensischer Gebiete durch israelisches Militär liege, dringend angesprochen werden müsse. Er tadelte bei beiden Parteien jede Form der Gewaltanwendung. "Wir sind für die sofortige Gründung eines unabhängigen palästinensischen Staates", sagte der Außenminister.
