Omalaeti legt nach

Windhoek - Vier Weihnachtsalben (auch nach dem Heiligen Abend noch genießbar) schmeißt "Omalaeti Productions" auf den Markt. Zum Beispiel Tate Buti mit seiner CD "Ondungu" - einem neuen Kwiku-Aushängeschild für das Label. Auch Pedrito präsentiert ein Album mit dem Titel "Egweli": "Die süßen Meldodien meiner Vorfahren gehen mir nicht aus dem Kopf", sagt Pedrito, dessen Wurzeln an den großen afrikanischen Seen liegen. Neu in den Reihen der bei Omalaeti veröffentlichten Künstler sind "PDK", Kurzform für Patrick, Dion und Kamutonyo. "Paantu" ist der Titel ihrer CD - eine Mischung aus 15 Kwiku-Afro-Pop-Titeln. Motto der Gruppe: "Unsere Musik ist für alle da". Und zu guter letzt: "Step two Vision 2030" - eine Kwiku-House-Neuerscheinung von DJ Kalu. "Schon andere Nationen", meint Kalu, "haben House-Music verwendet, um ihren traditionellen Liedern Leben einzuhauchen. Auch ich glaube nicht daran, das Rad neu zu erfinden."
