Windhoek (nic) – Die Vizeministerin für internationale Beziehungen und Kooperationen, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, befindet sich nach ihrem Unfall im Dezember 2017 auf dem Weg der Besserung. Dies gab Nandi-Ndaitwah am Freitag bei einer Pressekonferenz in Windhoek bekannt. Hierzu hatte sie Pressevertreter und weitere Gäste einladen und versicherte den Anwesenden, dass sie sich von den Folgen des Verkehrsunglücks erhole und in guter gesundheitlicher Verfassung befinde. Um die Anwesenden über ihr Wohlergehen zu informieren, hat sie sich nun extra eine Auszeit von ihrem Krankheitsurlaub genommen, so Nandi-Ndaitwah. Anfang März werde die Vizeministerin dann ihr Amt wieder aufnehmen.

Darüber hinaus dankte sie all denjenigen, die ihr in den vergangenen Wochen zur Seite standen, für ihre Unterstützung sowie für alle Genesungswünsche, die sie nach ihrem Unglück erreichten. Weiter sprach sie auch noch einmal ihr Beileid für die Hinterbliebenen der Todesopfer des Unfalls aus.

Nandii-Ndaitwah hatte am 28. Dezember 2017 zwischen Tsumeb und Oshivelo einen Verkehrsunfall erlitten, bei dem bei einem Frontalzusammenstoß zweier Pkws zwei weitere Menschen ums Leben gekommen waren (AZ berichtete).
