Namibische UN-Informationszentrale wieder mobil

Windhoek (cev) - Die Ernährungs- und Landwirtschaftsorganisation der Vereinten Nationen (Food and Agriculture Organisation, FAO) hat dem namibischen Informationszentrum der Vereinten Nationen (United Nations Information Centre, UNIC) ein Fahrzeug gespendet. „Die Spende kommt gerade passend, da das UN-Informationsbüro seit mehr als fünf Jahren nicht mobil war“, heißt es in der Mitteilung. Bei dem Fahrzeug handelt es sich um einen Toyota Corolla, der mit Grafiken der 17 nachhaltigen Entwicklungsziele (Sustainable Development Goals, SDG) sowie der Figur „Frieda“ – die Menschen den Inhalt der SDGs übermitteln soll – beklebt ist. Auf dem Foto überreicht der FAO-Repräsentant Namibias Dr. Babagana Ahmadu die Schlüssel des Fahrzeugs an die UN-Informationsbeauftragte Anthea Basson.
