"Mit Musik geht alles besser"

Sein 108-jähriges Bestehen feierte der Swakopmunder Männergesangverein (SMGV) am Wochenende mit seinem traditionellen Stiftungsfest im Haus der Jugend.

Nach dem Motto "Filmmusik" bot der Gesangverein unter Leitung von Dörthe Witte ein abwechslungsreiches Programm von den Comedian Harmonists über "Ein Freund, ein guter Freund" aus dem Film "Die 3 von der Tankstelle" bis hin zu "I was born under a wandering star".

Wie in jedem Jahr war auch dieses Mal die Stimmung bestens und rund 80 Gäste genossen einen abwechslungsreichen Abend, der von mehreren Künstlern unterstützt wurde. Werner Kühlwetter spielte Klavier, Dörthe Witte Flöte, Herbert Schier Saxophon, Andy Bauer Trompete und Bernd Syvertsen schmetterte "A wonderful world" von Louis Armstrong ins Mikrofon. Für weitere Höhepunkte des Abends sorgten drei deutsche Gäste, die im Vorfeld der Swakopmunder Musikwoche angereist waren: Max Neugebauer spielte Saxophon, Oskar Schultheiß Klarinette und Felix Färber sorgte mit seinen "Flower Sticks" genannten Jonglierstäben für "Musik fürs Auge".

Bei der Verlosung gewann Heike Elmering einen großzügigen Präsentkorb und mit "Wochenend' und Sonnenschein" ging ein gelungener Abend zu Ende, den alle sehr genossen haben.
