Mbeki auf Wirtschaftsmission

Windhoek - Der südafrikanische Ex-Präsident Thabo Mbeki wird heute zu einem Kurzbesuch in Windhoek erwartet. Grund seiner Reise ist die Teilnahme als Hauptredner an der diesjährigen Gründer- und Alumni-Galaveranstaltung der Namibischen Geschäftsschule (Namibia Business School, NBS), die zur hiesigen Universität (UNAM) gehört.

Mbeki kommt laut Plan heute Nachmittag an und gibt dann zunächst eine Pressekonferenz. Morgen früh ist er zu einem Höflichkeitsbesuch bei Staatsoberhaupt Hifikepunye Pohamba, im Anschluss daran trifft er Namibias Gründungspräsident Sam Nujoma. Am Abend findet dann die Galaveranstaltung für Gründer und Alt-Absolventen der NBS statt. Dabei wird Mbeki zum Thema "Pflege der afrikanische Renaissance: Die Rolle der Afrikanischen Geschäftsschule" sprechen.

Der erste Kurs an der NBS hat 2000 stattgefunden. An Gründung und laufenden Betrieb der Einrichtung hat(te) die Stiftung der FNB großen Anteil.
