Die Krebsvereinigung (Cancer Association of Namibia, CAN) greift der Abteilung der Kinderonkologie des Zentralkrankenhauses in Windhoek unter die Arme: Am Freitag hat die gemeinnützige Organisation Windeln, Säuglingsfolgemilch und Nahrungsergänzungsmittel im Wert von 10000 Namibia-Dollar überreicht. Zusätzlich bietet das Heim, CHICA Interim Home, bei Bedarf auch kostenlose Unterkunft, Verpflegung und Transport für Kinderkrebspatienten an, die während der Behandlung in Windhoek von einem Elternteil begleitet werden. „Während wir gegen Covid-19 kämpfen, ist der Krieg gegen den Krebs nie beendet“, so der Geschäftsführer der Krebsvereinigung (Cancer Association of Namibia, CAN), Rolf Hansen. Wer helfen möchte, kann die Vereinigung finanziell oder mit Sachspenden unterstützen. Windel- oder Milchpulverspenden können bei den CAN-Büros in Windhoek (John-Meinert-Straße Nummer 50) und in Swakopmund (Ferdinand-Stich-Straße Nummer 3C) abgeladen werden. • Foto: CAN
