Windhoek (cr) - Der regional Kommandant der Hardap-Region, Kopmmissar John Mwakamui Lifasi, ist im Alter von 59 Jahren am 7. Juli im Staatskrankenhaus in Mariental verstorben. Dies gab der Polizeichef, Sebastian Ndeitunga, vergangene Woche schriftlich bekannt.

Lifasi ist der Polizei am 21 März 1990 beigetreten und war seitdem im polizeilichen Dienst tätig. Im Jahre 2017 wurde Kommissar dann zum regionalen Kommandanten der Hardap-Region befördert.

„Sein plötzliches Ableben wird uns in Erinnerung bleiben, denn er war ein prinzipientreuer Offizier, der sich für die Aufrechterhaltung von Recht, Ordnung und Sicherheit einsetzte; eine Haltung, die er während seiner gesamten Polizeikarriere schätzte und verteidigte“, so Ndeitunga.
