Windhoek/Gobabeb (ws) - Auch in diesem Jahr lädt die Wüstenforschungsstation Gobabeb (Bild) zu einem „Tag der Artenvielfalt“ ein. Dieser wird am kommenden Samstag, dem 20. Mai, auf dem Gelände der Station, etwa 120 km süd-östlich von Walvis Bay, stattfinden. Teil des Programmes sind 31 Jugendliche, die an dem diesjährigen Jugend-Umweltgipfel teilnehmen, der bereits vergangenes Wochenende gestartet ist. Die Schüler aus den Regionen Karas, Khomas und Erongo führen Studien zum diesjährigen Thema „Artenvielfalt und nachhaltiger Tourismus“ durch. Unterstützt wird dieses Programm unter anderem durch die finnische Botschaft sowie dem Ministerium für Umwelt und Tourismus (MET).
