Ein Großbrand hat am Dienstagabend insgesamt 27 Baracken in dem Walvis Bayer Stadtteil Tutaleni verwüstet - niemand wurde verletzt. „Es wird vermutet, dass das Feuer gegen 21.30 Uhr in einem Ghetto ausgebrochen ist und sich rasant auf andere Wohnungen ausgebreitet hat“, teilte die Polizei gestern mit. Und: „27 Wohnungen, die auf den zehn Grundstücken gebaut waren, wurden samt Hab und Gut zerstört.“ Die Ursache ist noch unbekannt. Wie viele Einwohner der Hafenstadt von dem Großbrand betroffen sind, ist noch unklar. Die ist bereits der zweite Großbrand in Walvis Bay in diesem Jahr: Am 26. Juli hat ein Feuer eine großen Teil der informellen Siedlung Twaloloka (nun Otweya) verwüstet. Mehr als 200 Hütten wurden zerstört und ein Baby ist ums Leben gekommen (AZ berichtete). Foto: Privat
