Gazza über Verlust bestürzt

Windhoek - Nachdem zwei Namibische Künstler am vergangenen Sonntag nahe Otjiwarongo in einem Autounfall ums Leben gekommen waren, hat sich jetzt die Firma Gazza Music Productions (GMP) zum Vorfall geäußert.

So sei Lazarus Shiimi (Gazza) sehr bestürzt, den Verlust seiner Kollegen und Freunde kundzugeben. Bei dem Versuch, einen Frontalzusammenstoß mit einem weißen Hyundai auszuweichen, habe sich das Fahrzeug mit fünf Insassen überschlagen. Der Künstler Roger Itembu und der Musikproduzent Julius "Eclipse" Spiegel seien ums Leben gekommen (AZ berichtete). Die anderen drei Mitfahrer, Deogine Ochs "D Jay", Theunes Kandjii "Zox" und Peya Silas Uukunde seien mit schweren Körperverletzungen in ein Windhoeker Krankenhaus eingeliefert worden.

Itembu wurde im Jahr 2008, bei der namibischen Musikpreisverleihung, als bester Neuankömmling in der namibischen Musikszene bezeichnet. Julius Spiegel trug zum Erfolg zahlreicher namibischer Musiker bei und galt als eine geduldige und freundliche Leitperson.

Die Firma Gazza Music Productions spricht indes allen Familienangehörigen ihr herzlichstes Beileid aus. "Dieser Schicksalsschlag kam sehr überraschend und das GMP-Team teilt das Mitgefühl mit den Familien der Verstorbenen und Fans", heißt es abschließend.
