Erstes Reitturnier bei "Kapp Stables"

Windhoek - Am Wochenende vom 10. bis 12. Juni findet zum ersten Mal ein Reitturnier beim neu eröffneten Reitstall "Kapp Stables" statt. Es beginnt am frühen Freitagnachmittag mit einem ersten Springen um 14.00 Uhr. Am Samstag beginnen Pferde und Reiter wie auch am Sonntag bereits um 9.00 Uhr und sind den ganzen Tag lang in Aktion. Sonntags wird hingegen bis mittags Reitsport geboten.
Angemeldet haben sich insgesamt 40 Reiter und 44 Pferde, die in den Kategorien von 70 cm bis 140 cm an den Start gehen. Die Veranstalter erwarten ein "entspanntes und harmonisches Turnier." Abseits vom reinen Reitsport sorgen sie auch für das leibliche Wohl der Besucherinnen und Besucher - so wird am Freitagabend Braaifleisch und am Samstagabend Pootjie angeboten. Über Tag gibt es Bratwurst oder Gyros sowie Kaffee und Kuchen. Gesponsert wird das Turnier von AGRA, Safari Den, Auas Vet Med, Windhoek Cable Accessories CC und C+V Welding.
Der Veranstaltungsort liegt etwa 20 Kilometer außerhalb Windhoeks auf dem Weg zum internationalen Hosea-Kutako-Flughafen, er wird über den Abdreh "Kapps Farm" (MR 53) erreicht.
