Die Bundesregierung Deutschland hat die Vorsitzende des Organisationskomitees für die Zentralveranstaltung des Lutherischen Weltbundes zum Reformationsjubiläum, Dr. Emma Nangolo, vom 30. Oktober bis 5. November 2016 nach Deutschland eingeladen. Zu der Reise anlässlich der Eröffnungsfeierlichkeiten zum Reformationsjubiläum 2017 am 31. Oktober 2016 unter dem Motto „Reformation und die eine Welt – das Erbe der Reformation in Deutschland“ sind Journalisten, Kirchen- und Religionsvertreter sowie Vertreter staatlicher Einrichtungen eingeladen. Neben der Teilnahme am Festakt in Berlin sind Treffen mit Kirchen- und Religionsvertretern zur Bedeutung der Reformation und für den Dialog mit anderen Religionen vorgesehen.
