Windhoek/Okahandja (NMH/ste) – Bewaffnete Räuber haben heute Morgen kurz vor 10 Uhr bei einem Überfall auf einen Geldtransporter bei Okahandja 930 000 N$ erbeutet. Jacqueline Pack, Pressesprecherin der Bank Windhoek, bestätigte, dass das gepanzerte Fahrzeug der Wach- und Schließgesellschaft, die das Geld für die Bank verfrachtet, angehalten wurde, bevor es die Filiale erreichen konnte, wohin das Geld transportiert werden sollte. Laut Informationen aus der Kleinstadt nördlich Windhoeks, sollen die Wachen überrumpelt worden sein und seien die Räuber mit der reichen Beute entkommen. Nach Angaben der Pressesprecherin der namibischen Polizei, Kommissarin Kauna Shikwambi, sind die Räuber in einem blauen Pkw (Toyota Corolla Conquest) mit der Registrationsnummer N108266W entkommen.
