Die Motorrad-WM-Saison startet

Doha (dpa) – In der Wüste von Katar startet die Motorrad-WM an diesem Wochenende in die neue Saison. Wie in den Vorjahren ist die MotoGP die Königsklasse und genießt die größte Aufmerksamkeit. Die Rennen der Moto2- und Moto3-WM runden die Renn-Wochenenden ab. Und erstmals starten in der MotoE elektrisch angetriebene Motorräder. In der MotoGP und in der Moto3 gab es beim Regelwerk nur geringfügige Modifikationen. Für die Moto2 wurde in Triumph ein neuer Lieferant für die Einheitsmotoren gefunden. Der Kalender umfasst wieder 19 Veranstaltungen. Gestartet wird die Saison traditionell in Katar, Valencia ist Mitte November letzte Station. Für die deutschen Fans besonders interessant sind die WM-Läufe auf dem Sachsenring, auf dem Red-Bull-Ring in Österreich, auf dem TT-Kurs im holländischen Assen und auf dem Masaryk-Ring in Brünn/Tschechien.
