Windhoek (fis) – Seit heute früh um 5.30 Uhr hat die Polizei den Ausspannplatz in Windhoek abgeriegelt (Bild). Hier (und nicht wie ursprünglich angekündigt am Snyman Circle) soll die von Affirmative Repositioning (AR) für heute organisierte Demonstration gegen den Neubau eines Parlaments stattfinden. Um 13.30 Uhr ist die Übergabe einer Petition geplant, danach soll die Kundgebung beendet werden. – Auch im Bereich Tintenpalast/Parlamentsgarten/Christuskirche ist die Polizei seit heute Morgen massiv präsent; Verkehrsteilnehmer müssen mit Behinderungen und mangelnden Parkplätzen rechnen. Grund ist der Besuch des indischen Staatspräsidenten, der heute Nachmittag im Tintenpalast vor dem Parlament sprechen wird.
