Windhoek/Keetmanshoop (nic) – Die Polizei hat heute bei einem 36-jährigern Südafrikaner bei der Straßensperre bei Keetmanshoop insgesamt 244 Kilogramm Cannabis sichergestellt. Wie die Presseagentur Nampa unter Berufung auf den Kriminalermittler der //Kharas-Region, Kommissar Chrispin Mubebo, bekanntgab, soll der Mann die Drogen in einem Lastwagen über die Landesgrenze bei Ariamsvlei geschmuggelt haben, wobei er dort nicht kontrolliert worden sei. „An der Straßensperre wurde nur eine zufallsbedingte Suche durchgeführt, die jedoch zum Erfolg geführt hat“, erklärt Mubebo. Der Wert des Cannabis werde auf zwei Millionen N$ geschätzt.
