Turin (dpa) - Olympiasieger Alexander Zverev ist mit einem Erfolg gegen den Weltranglisten-Ersten Novak Djokovic ins Endspiel des Tennis-Saisonfinals eingezogen. Der 24-jährige Hamburger setzte sich im Halbfinale von Turin 7:6 (7:4), 4:6, 6:3 durch und schaffte damit wie bei den Olympischen Spielen in Tokio eine Überraschung. Bei den Sommerspielen hatte der Weltranglisten-Dritte den Topgesetzten ebenfalls in der Runde der besten Vier besiegt und anschießend die Goldmedaille geholt. Im Finale der ATP Finals trifft Zverev heute (17 Uhr) auf den russischen Titelverteidiger Daniil Medwedew, gegen den er in der Vorrunde knapp verlor. 2018 hatte die deutsche Nummer eins beim Jahresendturnier triumphiert.
