Windhoek (NMH/nic) – Der Windhoeker Anwalt Chris Brandt hat heute Morgen Selbstmord begangen. Augenzeugen zufolge hat ein Nachbar einen Schuss gehört und daraufhin den Sicherheitsdienst G4S gerufen. Brandt soll sich demnach in seinem Haus auf dem Luxushügel in Windhoek erschossen haben.
Der suspendierte Anwalt sollte heute Vormittag vor dem Obersten Gericht erscheinen und sich gemäß des Antrags wegen „unrechtsmäßiger Transaktionen von seinem Treuhand-Konto“ verantworten. In diesem Konto werden Zahlungen von Mandanten gehalten, bis ihr Verfahren abgeschlossen und die Anwälte Anspruch auf ihr Honorar haben. Brandt habe diese Gelder rechtswidrig zur Zahlung laufender Kosten genutzt. (Foto: Facebook)
