Die A-Nationalmannschaft des namibischen Kricketverbandes (CN) hat auch das vierte und zugleich letzte Duell einer 50-Over-Testspielserie gegen Simbabwe verloren. Am Freitag zogen die „Adler“ auf dem Wanderers-Feld im Windhoeker Stadtteil Pionierspark den Kürzeren. Simbabwe kam auf 280 Runs. Die Gastgeber büßten in ihrem Inning binnen 49 Overs alle Wickets ein. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt fehlten noch 26 Zähler zum Sieg. Namibias bester Schlagmann war Ex-Kapitän Craig Williams (Bild), der mit 86 Runs nur knapp ein Century verfehlte. Tags zuvor hatten die Simbabwer ihre Führung mit einem 112-Run-Erfolg beim United-Club in Olympia auf 3:0 ausgebaut und dadurch vorzeitig den Gesamtsieg perfekt gemacht.
