Ab jetzt vertritt Gewerkschaft MUN das Husab-Personal

Windhoek/Swakopmund (NMH/cev) - Nachdem Ende vergangenen Jahres die Bauarbeiten der Husab-Uranmine abgeschlossen wurden, hat nun die Gewerkschaft MANWU (Metal and Allied Namibian Workers Union) der Schwesterorganisation MUN (Mineworkers Union of Namibia) das Spielfeld überlassen. Dies wurde vor wenigen Tagen in Swakopmund bekannt gegeben.

Ein entsprechendes Abkommen wurde von dem MANWU-Präsident Angula Angula, dem Erongo-Gouverneur Cleophas Mutjavikua, dem MUN-Vertreter Jackie Karumbo sowie von Zheng Keping, Chef der Husab-Betreiber-Firma, Swakop Uranium, unterschrieben. Bei dem Anlass teilte Keping mit, dass die Uranmine im Dezember 2016 das erste Yellowcake zum Export hergestellt habe und innerhalb der kommenden 20 Monate den vollen Betrieb aufnimmt. Der erste Spatenstich für Husab, eine der größten Uranminen der Welt, erfolgte im April 2013.
