Unterbringung der Polizei an den Grenzübergängen im Fokus

Cheetah Cement übergab 10 Tonnen Zement an das Ministerium für Inneres, Einwanderung und Sicherheit als Teil seiner sozialen Verantwortung als Unternehmen. Bei der Übergabe im Werk von Cheetah Cement in Otjiwarongo sagte der stellvertretende Minister Dr. Daniel Kashikola, dass der Zement zur Verbesserung der Wohnräume für die an den Grenzposten stationierten Polizeibeamten verwendet werden soll.

"Dieser Beitrag von Cheetah Cement kommt zu einer Zeit, in der die namibische Polizei vor der Herausforderung steht, angemessene Unterkünfte für ihre Mitglieder bereitzustellen. Einige Mitglieder, insbesondere diejenigen, die an den Grenzposten eingesetzt sind, leben unter erbärmlichen Bedingungen, da sie in baufälligen Zelten untergebracht sind", sagte er.
