Co-owner and founder of Luminaires Direct, Claudia Spoerer, started the business with only one employee in 2015, which has since grown to three branches. The Austrian EGLO group which specialises in domestic lights, approached Luminaires at the early stages of its growth to distribute and sell its products.

“We experienced a few challenges along the way and at the moment the exchange rate is not in our favour. However, we continue to import products regularly to offer our clients the best lighting at the best pricing,” she said.

Luminaires Direct offers a large variety of pendants, wall lights, ceiling lights and outdoor lights as well as wall switches, plugs and fans. The pendants include chandeliers, plain lights as well as LED lights of different shapes and sizes, as well as more rustic-styled options.
