#aznamnews: Gewerkschaft fordert höhere Gehaltserhöhungen

Die Namibian Union of Financial Institutions (Nafinu) demonstriert gegen die Nedbank Namibia.

Nach Angaben der Geschäftsführerin der Bank, Martha Murorua, sind die Unruhen auf das Auslaufen einer befristeten Vereinbarung mit Nafinu und die Forderung der Gewerkschaft zurückzuführen, dass die Nedbank ihre jährliche Gehaltserhöhung für 2023 von 7 % auf 10 % erhöht. Murorua erklärte, dass die Inflation nach den jüngsten Zahlen bei 6,1 % liege.

Drei Mitglieder des Vorstands der Nedbank, Gernot De Klerk (Marketing- und Kommunikationsleiter), JG van Graan (Finanzchef) und Victor Ashikoto (Betriebsleiter), nahmen die Petition der Demonstranten entgegen.
