Windhoek (Nampa/km) - Die gemeinnützige Abteilung der Universität von Namibia (UNAM), genannt UNAM-Cares, hat von mehreren Versicherungsfirmen ein Darlehen in Höhe von 600 000 N$ erhalten, um seine Impfkampagne gegen Corona weiterzuführen. Zu den Spendern gehören unter anderem FirstRand Namibia, Hollard Namibia, 91, Old Mutual und Liberty Life Allen Grey. Sie beteiligen sich an der sogenannten „Vaccines for Hope“-Kampagne des Privatsektors. UNAM-Cares wurde 2019 gegründet und hat letzten Monat zur Unterstützung des Gesundheitsministeriums in Windhoek ein Impfzentrum aufgebaut. Die Gelder werden an sechs Impfzentren auf UNAM-Universitätsgeländen landesweit gehen.
