Project Shine bekommt viel Unterstützung

Die Rössing-Uranmine unterstützt das diesjährige Projekt Shine mit insgesamt 100 000 Namibia-Dollar, derweil die Firma Namibias Breweries Limited (NBL) 80 000 Namibia-Dollar und das Finanzinstitut FNB 10 000 Namibia-Dollar gespendet haben. Weitere Unterstützung haben außerdem die Unternehmen Bannerman Resources und Plastic Packaging zugesagt. Am vergangenen Freitag haben die Sponsoren symbolische Schecks in Swakopmund überreicht (Foto). Project Shine wurde im Jahr 2007 ins Leben gerufen und ist seither zum jährlichen Ereignis geworden. Anhand der Initiative werden Müll, besonders Glasflaschen und Plastiktüten, in und um Swakopmund entfernt. In diesem Jahr haben sich 14 Gemeinschaftsgruppen angemeldet, die Müll an verschiedenen Stränden und öffentlichen Arealen sowie am Straßenrand neben der Fernstraße B2 entsorgen werden. Foto: Nampa
