Windhoek (ste) - Ursprünglich sollte die am 1. Oktober 2017 verstorbene Gouverneurin der Kunene-Region, Angelika Muharukua, auf dem Heldenacker in Windhoek mit allen Ehrenbezeugungen beigesetzt werden. In einer Pressemitteilung kündigte das Informationsministerium jetzt allerdings an, dass sich die Beerdigungsfeiern mittlerweile in drei Veranstaltungen aufteilen wird.

Demnach soll heute Mittag um 12 Uhr eine Gedenkveranstaltung zu Ehren der Verstorbenen in der Parlaments-Gartenanlage in Windhoek abgehalten werden. Eine zweite derartige Feier soll am Freitag (20. Oktober 2017), ebenfalls um 12 Uhr Mittag, im Newman-Katuta-Stadium in Opuwo stattfinden.

Erst am Samstag, dem 21. Oktober 2017, wird Muharukua dann um 6 Uhr in der Früh in ihrem Heimatort in Kaokoland, in der Siedlung Okozokondjoza, bestattet.
