Gestern nahm der Minister für Information und Kommunikationstechnologie, Peya Mushelenga, der seit einem Jahr dem Planungsausschuss für den Internationalen Tag der Pressefreiheit 2021 (World Press Freedom Day 2021) vorstand, gemeinsam mit seinem Vizevorsitzenden, dem lokalen UNESCO-Direktor Djaffar Moussa-Elkadhum an einem letzten Live-Gespräch vor dem amtlichen Start der Programme am heutigen Tag teil. Auch die Schirmherrin Gwen Lister und Schirmherr Toivo Ndjebela sprachen ein letztes Mal vor dem Event über die Pressefreiheit in Namibia.
