Jackpot am Ende

Windhoek - Nach dem Kollaps des Pera-Glücksspiels im Jahr 2000 wurde nun der zweite Versuch, eine landesweite Lotterie zu etablieren, kurzfristig auf Eis gelegt. So wurde gestern das "Win the TV Jackpot"-Spiel um 17.00 Uhr vom Spielbetreiber United Fortunes (Pty) Ltd kurzfristig geschlossen.

Ausstehende Gewinne können noch bis zum 17. April (13.00 Uhr) direkt bei United Fortunes (Adresse: Kash Street, PO box 3729, Windhoek) eingefordert werden. Auch die NBC-Fernsehsendung "Win the TV Jackpot", zu der bislang die Hauptgewinner des Spiels geladen wurden, ist abgesetzt worden.

Einer Presseerklärung zufolge will United Fortunes nach Verabschiedung des geplanten Lotterie-Gesetzes in der kommenden Legislaturperiode ein neues Spiel vorstellen. Dieses neue Spiel soll eine verbesserte Version des jetzigen "Jackpots" darstellen. "Wir wollen die neuen Möglichkeiten, die das geplante Lotteriegesetz bietet, optimal nutzen und haben uns deshalb dazu entschlossen, ein komplett neues Spiel einzuführen", so United Fortunes.

Das "Win the TV-Jackpot"-Glücksspiel wurde Mitte April 2001 erstmals von United Fortunes vorgestellt.
