Windhoek (fis) – Zweieinhalb Monate nach dem Tod der Gouverneurin der Kunene-Region, Angelika Kazetjindire Muharukua, ist jetzt ein Nachfolger für diese Position bestimmt worden. Wie Frans Kapofi, Minister des Präsidialamts, heute mitteilte, sei Marius Sikunawa Tuyoleni Sheya von Staatspräsident Hage Geingob als neuer Gouverneur berufen worden. Er soll sein Amt am 1. Januar 2018 antreten und bis 20. März 2020 ausführen, hieß es weiter. Am Tag darauf beginnt die nächste Amtsperiode des Präsidenten, der die Gouverneure anstellt.
