Die Eröffnung der 2020 Namibian Annual Music Awards (NAMA) wurde von Künstlerinnen dominiert, welche die beiden Preise in der ersten Ausgabe der achtwöchigen Show für sich gewinnen konnten. Die Show, die zum ersten Mal virtuell ausgestrahlt wurde, fand am Samstag von der Hauptstadt aus statt. Sally Boss Madam (l.) erhielt den Preis für den besten Afro-Pop für ihren Song „Centre“ mit Don Kamati, während Adora Kisting (r.) für ihren Song „Sim Di A“ mit Jayden den Preis für die beste Zusammenarbeit des Jahres erhielt. In ihrer Dankesrede sagte Sally, dass sie nicht damit gerechnet habe zu gewinnen, da sie gegen ihre Konkurrenz keine Chance gesehen hatte. Kisting ihrerseits schrieb ihr Talent Gott zu: „Das Beste, was man mit einem solchen Segen tun kann, ist ihn zu leben und auszudrücken.“ Das Finale der NAMAs wird über einen Zeitraum von acht Wochenenden stattfinden, das nächste Konzert ist für den 4. bis 5.
