Windhoek (cev) – Die wegen Korruption verurteilte Ex-Ministerin Katrina Hanse-Himarwa ist mit einer Geldstrafe von 50000 N$ oder 24 Monaten Haft sowie einer Bewährungsstrafe von einem Jahr belangt worden. Das entschied am heutigen Mittwoch Richter Christie Liebenberg am Windhoeker Obergericht.
Hanse-Himarwa war am 8. Juli für schuldig befunden worden. Liebenberg sah es als erwiesen an, dass Politikerin im Jahre 2014 ihr damaliges Amt als Gouverneurin der Hardap-Region dafür missbraucht hat, zwei Anspruchsberechtigte von einer Liste mit Nutznießern eines Wohnungsbauprogramms in Mariental zu streichen und durch die Namen von zwei Verwandten zu ersetzen (AZ berichtete).
