EU gibt 111 Mio. N$ für Wasserprojekte

Windhoek (nic) – Die Europäische Union (EU) hat heute 7,8 Millionen Euro (111 Millionen N$) an die namibische Regierung übergeben, um damit das Projekt zum Ausbau des Trinkwasserzugangs und zur Bereitstellung sanitärer Anlagen (Namibia Water and Sanitation Support Programm, NAWASA) weiter zu unterstützen. Die genannte Summe sei die letzte Rate des 2011 gestarteten Hilfsprogramms, in das die EU insgesamt knapp 32 Millionen Euro investiert hat. Zur symbolischen Scheckübergabe trafen sich die EU-Botschafterin Jana Hybaskova und der Landwirtschaftsminister John Mutorwa heute Vormittag im Europa-Haus in Windhoek (Bild).
