5 000 passengers fly between Windhoek and Lüderitz

FlyNamibia’s scheduled Windhoek-Lüderitz route has hit the 5 000-passenger mark since its launch in July last year, the company announced.

To mark the milestone, FlyNamibia also announced the opening of its new office in Lüderitz, which is situated at the Old Power Station.

“The introduction of this permanent office will enable the airline to give our customers and the Lüderitz community even more personalised and direct services,” CEO Andre Compion said.

"Our enduring partnership with TotalEnergies enables us to continuously adapt and offer the best service to our customers," he added.

TotalEnergies country chairperson Laurent Roché said he was happy to see an effort being made to maintain the sustainability of the route.

"Having taken part in the opening of the Windoek-Lüderitz route, I am delighted to see the success of it and I am confident that these changes are geared towards maintaining route sustainability, making it self-sufficient and ensuring affordable access to the Lüderitz community."

According to Compion, the operational update is designed to benefit FlyNamibia’s customers by providing more flexible travel options and maintaining high service standards, along with ensuring the route’s long-term sustainability.
