Nur noch bis Freitag läuft die Wahl zur Stadt des zentralen Nordens. Der Sieger tritt im kommenden Jahr im Finale des Wettbewerbs „Namibias Stadt des Jahres“ als Vertreter seiner Region an. Aktuell hat Outjo die Nase vorn, gefolgt von Khorixas und Gobabis. Doch noch ist nichts entschieden! Wer das Ruder noch rumreißen möchte, kann dies per SMS tun: Einfach „town“ und den Namen seines Favoriten der Teilnehmer Grootfontein, Tsumeb, Otjiwarongo, Okahandja, Outjo, Okakarara, Gobabis, Khorixas und Otavi an die Nummer 51500 schicken. Dies haben gestern auch einige Bewohner von Outjo getan, als sie die Mitarbeiter der Verlagsgruppe Namibia Media Holdings (NMH) auf ihrer Aktivierungskampagne getroffen haben. Jede Nachricht kostet 1 N$. Unter allen Teilnehmern werden zudem 1000 N$ verlost. Foto: Frank Steffen
